liminal && lucent
(en)liminal and lucent coexist together, because they work with the perception of spacetime. These transmedia projects of Zuzana Husárová and Amalia Roxana Filip cover two books of visual poems, sound poems and live performances, in the case of lucent also exhibition. Sound poetry as well as live visuals follow the same concept as the visual poetry on the printed pages. In the case of liminal it is travelling through time, space, states, between five parts of a day, in the case of lucent it is experiencing different aspects and dimensions of space, delivered in five parts. The perception of their specific poetics is transmitted textually, visually, with spoken word and sound. The projects are in constant evolution, bits being added at a time: whether sounds and animations, or documentation from our live performances.

(sk) liminal a lucent vzájomne koexistujú, pretože spoločne pracujú s vnímaním časopriestoru. Tieto transmediálne projekty Zuzany Husárovej a Amalie Roxany Filip prepájajú knihu vizuálnej poézie so zvukovou poéziou a živými vystúpeniami, v prípade lucentu aj výstavu. Zvuková poézia spolu so živými vizuálmi sleduje rovnaký koncept ako vizuálna poézia na tlačených stránkach. V prípade projektu liminal ide o cestovanie cez čas, priestor, stavy, medzi piatimi časťami dňa, pri lucente ide o skúsenosť s rôznymi aspektmi a dimenziami priestoru, rozdelenými do piatich častí. Percepcia ich špecifických poetík je prenášaná textom, vizuálom, hovoreným slovom a zvukom. Projekty sú v stave konštantnej evolúcie, postupne sa pridávajú jeho časti: zvuky a animácie, či dokumentácie zo živých vystúpení.

(en) Multimedia aspects of liminal and lucent are delivered by the mutual interactions between sounds, spoken words, text, visuals on this website as well as during a live performance and at an exhibition. Correlations between them speak for the fact that work´s semantics rises from these media combinations. The live visuals during performances follow the aesthetics of the graphics in the books, with one major difference – improvisation: they use the same graphic elements but in the process of playing them live, they “distort” and reinterpret them thus generating images that might look different than in the book pages. The exhibition remixes, recontextualises and newly defines the relations between the textual and visual elements from lucent (text in the form of words, signs, website code, visuals in the book, website scrollbar) by exhibiting them in new connections, in the form of big square matrices consisting of individual papers. The platform of exhibition provides also other cultural contexts for reading/watching big images in the gallery as for reading/watching the pages of the book. Alongside the reading/watching, the visitor also listens to the soundpoetry.

(sk) Vzájomné interakcie medzi zvukmi, hovoreným slovom, textom a vizuálmi vytvárajú multimediálne aspekty liminalu a lucent, ktoré sú prezentované na tejto webstránke, počas živých performancií aj na výstave. Korelácie medzi nimi dokazujú, že sémantika diela vychádza z kombinácií medzi týmito médiami. Živé vizuály počas vystúpení pripomínajú grafickú estetiku v knihách, avšak líšia sa vzhľadom na improvizáciu: používajú rovnaké grafické elementy, ale v procese hrania naživo ich menia a reinterpretujú. Tým pádom tvoria obrazy, ktoré môžu vyzerať inak ako na stránkach knihy. Výstava remixuje, rekontextualizuje a nanovo určuje vzťahy medzi textovými a vizuálnymi prvkami z lucentu (text vo forme slov, znakov, webového kódu, vizuály v knihe, webový skrol) tým, že ich vystavuje v ich iných prepojeniach, vo forme veľkých matíc pozostávajúcich z individuálnych papierov. Platforma výstavy poskytuje iné kultúrne kontexty čítania/pozerania veľkých obrazov v galérii ako je tomu pri čítaní/pozeraní knihy. Popri tomto čítaní/pozeraní návštevníkovi zárove%n hrá zvuková poézia.

(en) We chose these projects to be transmedial because we want to show the plurality of media by which our concepts could be presented. Poems in the book are not retold in the sound poetry, live visuals are also different from the static images in the book and at the exhibition. Book, sound poems, live performance and exhibition work alongside, providing recipient´s enhanced experience of what we perceive as engaging about parts of a day and liminal states (liminal) and about aspects of space (lucent).

(sk) Rozhodli sme sa poňať tieto projekty transmediálne, pretože chceme ukázať pluralitu médií, cez ktoré môžu byť naše koncepty prezentované. Básne v knihe nie sú prerozprávané vo forme zvukovej poézie, živé vizuály sa takisto líšia od statických obrázkov v knihe a na výstave. Kniha, zvukové básne, živé vystúpenie a výstava sa vzájomne dopĺňajú a recipientovi ponúkajú rozšírený zážitok toho, čo vnímame ako fascinujúce na jednotlivých častiach dňa a liminálnych stavoch (liminal) a na aspektoch priestoru (lucent).
